Contest rules and regulations:
Head for the Rocky Mountains and Win - SKI Colorado 2005/06
No purchase necessary.

  • Must be 21 years of age to enter and have a valid Kansas or Missouri drivers license.
  • One winner per household. Mail-in and on-line entries will be accepted.
  • Register on-line at www.kansascity.com - look for "Prizes" logo on left rail of the front page of kansascity.com.
  • Mailing instructions: using a standard postcard or sealed envelope that includes name, age, address and phone number. Mail to: "Head for the Rocky Mountains and Win 2005/2006" contest, Attn: Will Gray, c/o The Kansas City Star, 1729 Grand Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64108. Entries may be dropped off at the main building of The Kansas City Star (1729 Grand Blvd.). Three drawings will take place: December 30, 2005, January 30, 2006 and February 20, 2006.
  • All entries must be received by midnight February 15, 2006 to make last drawing.
  • All earlier entries will be retained for subsequent drawings. The Kansas City Star, kansascity.com and participating Colorado partners are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered entries or any miscommunication or technical failures as a result of contest participation.
  • Winner will be selected by random draw and personally notified by e-mail and/or telephone, on or before, midnight, December 30, 2005 (1st drawing), January 20, 2006 (2nd drawing), February 20, 2006 (3rd drawing).
  • Representatives of Knight-Ridder Digital; 35 S. Market Street, San Jose, CA; whose decisions are final on all matters related to the "Head for the Rocky Mountains and Win" contest, will draw winning entries. Winners and entrants grant Knight-Ridder Digital, The Kansas City Star and participating contest partners the right to use their names and/or likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
  • Winners may be required to sign a statement of eligibility and a liability release prior to receiving their prizes. Entrants agree that Knight-Ridder Digital, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, director, officers, employees, agents and contest partners are not liable for, and will be held harmless against, and all claims for injury, loss or damage or any kind resulting directly or indirectly from participation in this contest or from acceptance or use of any prize. Taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner(s). Employees of Knight-Ridder and of any participating sponsor in the contest ad, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
